Armando Telles, an Indigenous Chicano (first-generation Mexican-American) professional, has resided in four U.S. states and is the eldest of a blended family with eight siblings. was abroad on deployment while serving on active duty for his enlistment in the United States Marine Corps. He has 20+ years of civic engagement & project management experience, nationwide.
The Bearded Man Chronicles is a series of stories about the journeys and encounters in the life lived and experienced by Armando Telles, originating in North Dakota following the #NoDAPL Resistance Camps in 2016. In honor of the relatives in the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, the photos and captions of The Bearded Man Chronicles is dedicated to decolonizing the narrative about our existence by Indigenizing the narrative.
#TheBeardedMan will be producing activity worksheets, assignments, and projects in conjunction with the Indigenous Preservation Project to Indigenize how students learn.
